Jim Miller

Bio:

Jim Miller is a native Texan, born in the Texas Panhandle and raised in the Houston area. Jim came to Christ in the early 1960s while a junior at the University of Houston. In 1967 he accepted his first pastorate in the Texas Big Thicket and twenty years, four pastorates and a stint as Bible college instructor later he moved to Nacogdoches, Texas and purchased and operated a Christian book and music store for the next twelve years. During those years he was active in his community, filled pulpits, hosted pastor’s breakfasts, promoted more than fifty concerts with charting CCM artists, and wrote and published a weekly book review column for the local newspaper. He has also driven trucks, attended gas stations, stocked groceries, sweated on an assembly line, operated a forklift, sold shoes, taught in a classroom and been a union member in three Houston locals, walked two picket lines and had the pleasure of yelling "scab" at passing cars.

Jim is married to "the second best decision of my life," Stephanie. In 2001 they sold the bookstore to begin the wonderful adventure of planting a Vineyard church in Nacogdoches. The church has continued to grow spiritually and numerically and is joyfully advancing the kingdom in their area. Jim and Stephanie have a blended family of three children and seven grandchildren.
